1983-2008 Given numerous workshops and masterclasses, anything from 2hrs to three weeks, on Eurythmy, Methods of Devising, Movement Improvisation, Choreography, Neutral Mask, Puppetry, Play & Improvisation, Creating out of Nothing, Making and Working with Masks, and Self-development through Theatre Games, in Ireland, Canada, Austria, Germany, Finland, Netherlands, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and USA (4 or 5 pa).
These workshops have been both for adults (professionals and non-professionals) and for teenagers.

Many weekend and week long workshops associated with tours on Devising, Masks, Eurythmy and Play and Improvisation in Finland, Germany, Sweden, UK, and US.

Workshops Available:
Eurythmy - Making music and language visible through movement, discovering the wellspring of language through the body - this is eurythmy. Workshops and classes are available for both beginners, intermediates and professionals looking for a new approach to the art in both music and language eurythmy.

Devising - Creating out of Nothing - devising is a process of collaborative creating. It is what a group of people do when they want to create a show collaboratively, having common ownership, but don't want to use a pre-written text. This workshop is based on learning strategies to enable that process to take place.

Neutral Mask - the neutral mask tells us about the expression of our body, how it can speak and sing, how it can give "life" in our performing. It teaches us about an inner state of preparedness, of readiness for action. It is a place from which all characters, moods, states can be accessed.

Movement Improvisation - Centring ourselves in our bodies. Finding our centre of movement. Sensitising ourselves to the life energy around us. Discovering the space around us, our relationships to others and how we can facilitate each others creativity. Developing the ensemble.

Choreography - music and poetry can make our bodies sing. How do we shape our dance to reflect or contrast what we hear?

Play & Improvisation - to play is to create, to touch into the sources of our fantasy that so often are hidden by our intellect. It is a liberation of the imagination. Improvisation is a frame of our playing, a safe place where the inner creator can show itself.

Mask making and playing - an introduction

"I have become more aware of many things since this workshop. Many experiences were completely new to me. I realised that there truly are ways of awakening one's sleeping creativity and I was suprised to discover such a rich potential and joy in play within myself. As a whole this workshop with its emphasis on improvisation was a confrontation with questions pertaining to self knowledge, social relationships and an experience of one s physical body. I could never have imagined it would be so much fun!"
